13th - Blue State, New York beats Red State, Texas to win the NBA Championship (despite Trump messing up the vibe in Game 3).

17th - Georgia Blocks Gerrymandering.

18th -Knicks Mega-Parade/ Mayor Mamdani’s unifying speech.

18th - Obama Center celebration / Michelle Obama’s uplifting speech (Obama Center Grand Opening 19th - 21st).

19th - Juneteenth Celebration.

THEIR WEEK IN REVIEW:

13th - Elephant pisses on the floor of the GOP Convention.

14th - Washed-out cage fight on the white -rash lawn (Josh Hokit calls Michelle Obama a man).

15th (thereabouts) - Algae reported in the Reflecting Pool after the 16+ million dollar renovation.

17th - Trump signs fake deal/ real surrender in his war of aggression (released 24billion of their frozen assets, offering 300billion in reparations. That’s on top of the 35+billion and rising cost of the war for US taxpayers.) The surrender was signed in Versailles, France -the same place the Nazis signed their official surrender.

18th - Blue paint peeling off the Reflecting Pool after the16+ million dollar renovation.

19th - Party who pretends their ideology is the same as those who freed the slaves loses their shit over a holiday celebrating enslaved people learning of their freedom.

The people of diversity, decency, and democracy enjoyed a week of life, love, and unity. That’s who we are. We are fighting for everyone’s freedom to participate.

The people of supremacy, hierarchy, and death endured a week of hate and humiliation. That’s all they have. They poison themselves with vitriol and use it to syphon your joy. That’s all they do. That’s who they are.

Btw- It is lost on nobody the artists and talent who showed up for the Obamas and Mamdani vs. the artists and talent who showed up for Trump’s spectacle. In a week highlighting good against evil, it wasn’t hard to tell who’s who.

But don’t worry. As long as they claim to know Jesus, they can pretend algae and elephant piss are wonderful.

And we’ll keep spreading real and everlasting joy.
